You may be familiar with Saatva if you’ve looked into purchasing an innerspring mattress online. Saatva makes high quality 11.5” and 14.5” mattresses with a spring-like feel that can be delivered straight to your home.
They recently updated their 11.5” mattress and introduced an adjustable base, Lineal, that will work with the new mattress or any mattress made for adjustable beds.
With the promise of Zero Gravity and massage features, I put the Lineal to the test to see how it delivers. In the end, I liked the adjustable bed and its competitive pricing.

- Remote: All of the features and options that come with Lineal can be accessed through a single remote. Preset and customized settings are also available and AAA batteries are included.
- Multiple Elevation Options: Ideal for watching TV or reading in bed, you can elevate your head and your feet separately; when you decide to go back to a flat position you can do so with a click of a button.
- Zero Gravity Support: This preset position raises both your head and feet in a way that gives you the feeling of weightlessness.
- Massage: This feature comes with three different speeds and can focus on your head and/or legs or full body. If you fall asleep during the massage it will automatically turn off after 15 minutes.
- Soft Motor: Unlike the loud vibrating beds found in 1970’s motel rooms, Lineal’s motor is described as being “whisper soft” and one of the quietest motors in the industry.
- Under Bed Lighting: A button on the remote will turn on lights under the bed; this is a great option for late night trips to the bathroom or to the kitchen for a midnight snack.
- Easy Delivery: For an additional cost ($99), Saatva will come to your house and deliver, unbox and assemble your bed (and/or mattress).
- Split Option In King Size: King and California King sizes can be split for individualized comfort.
Who Might Like Lineal?
- People who Want Saatva mattresses. A lot of people ask whether Saatva can fit an adjustable base. It used to not be the case, but now the Lineal is a perfect fit for a Saatva mattress.
- People who don’t like a hassle. For around $99 you can have Saatva come to your house to deliver and set up your adjustable base (and new mattress if you purchase both). And with all of the features and options available in a single remote, making adjustments in your bed should be simple and straightforward.
- People who are on a budget. At $1,399 for a Queen, the Lineal adjustable base is on the more affordable side of adjustable beds.
- You Are Looking For Cool Extra Features– I loved the massage feature and have been using it frequently. The wall-hugging feature is really cool as well if you keep stuff on your nightstand. The ability to set and remember different positions is great too.
Who Might Not Like Lineal?
- People who want to test the adjustable base out first. Once you get your adjustable base, it’s yours for better or worse. There is no in-home trial period and the adjustable base cannot be exchanged or returned.
- You Don’t Want Any Extra Features– If you don’t want to pay for extra features like the massage features, then you might find something less expensive that will be a better fit for you.
Final Recommendation
The Lineal checks off all the boxes for me for what people would want in an adjustable bed. If you are getting a Saatva mattress, this should be a no-brainer if you want an adjustable bed to go with it. I think it’s a great option for any mattress that fits an adjustable bed.
Since the base cannot be returned or exchanged, make sure you’re 100% committed to an adjustable bed experience before making the purchase.
