DreamCloud Construction

  • DreamCloud has an especially complex construction.
  • On top is a True Tufted™ Cashmere Top, which features hand-sewn tufts and has a Eurotop feel.
  • The first layer is .39 inches (1 centimeter) of gel-infused memory foam.
  • The next two layers together comprise 1.77 inches (4.5 centimeters)  of quilted memory foam.
  • A .39 inch-layer (1 centimeter) of natural latex breaks up the memory foam layers.
  • Memory foam layering continues with 1.97 inches (5 centimeters) of “Dreamplush” supporting memory foam, then a 0.59-inch (1.5 centimeters) layer of super dense, super soft memory foam.
  • The thickest layer is a 7.87-inch (20 centimeters) layer of individually pocketed “BestRest” coils that come in two levels of resistance. The coils are placed in different ways in five comfort zones to ensure the right kind of support for the right part of your body.
  • At the base is 1.6 inches (5 centimeters) of high density super soft memory foam base.

Bear Construction

  • Bear has a cover made with Celliant, a fiber used in some athletic clothes. Celliant incorporates thermoactive minerals said to convert convert radiant body heat into infrared energy, which the fiber sends back into the body. These infrared rays are known to have positive effects on the body.
  • The first layer of the mattress is a memory foam made with graphite gel. The gel is intended to help better disperse heat and prevent you from sleeping hot.
  • The middle layer is a bouncy responsive foam.  This will prevent you from having the feeling of getting stuck.
  • A dense layer of foam forms the base.

Both mattresses isolate motion relatively well, but Bear’s memory foam consistency gives it an edge.

Pick DreamCloud If:

You want luxury– DreamCloud is extra thick and has a hand-tufted pillow top.  Overall, it has the feel of a luxury mattress.

You like a traditional mattress feel– DreamCloud is more like a traditional spring mattress.  If you’ve had success with that type of mattress in the past, then the DreamCloud could be a good option.

You are heavier– DreamCloud is thicker and more supportive.  This most likely makes it more appropriate for heavier sleepers.

Pick Bear If:

  • You are on a budget– Bear costs less than DreamCloud, so it gives you the opportunity to save some money on your purchase
  • You sleep on your side– Bear is a little softer and will conform better to your contours.
  • You like memory foam– Bear has more of a memory foam feel, so if you’ve had success with that type of mattress before you might feel more at home with the Bear
